Our solution consists of a platform that provides access to the latest knowledge in the various medical specialties and thus allows health practitioners to update their knowledge or to acquire new skills at their own pace throughout their careers and patients to be treated on the basis of most current knowledge. The platform hosts either medical professional courses or live conferences. Docthus is therefore a “Knowledge Marketplace”, a one-stop-eshop of medical knowledge accessible for medical professionals.

Docthus organizes health events (conferences, webinars, symposiums…etc.). We use Webex mainly for our live events. A Docthus event is composed of multiple activities and each activity has its own speakers and attendees. To implement that hierarchy, we use Webex Meetings and Webex Teams in our Integration in conjunction with the Guest issuer API. The process to attend an event is the following: a user (generally a doctor) chooses to attend an event from the site. Then, he will be able to access all the activities of that event. In each activity (video conference), there are speakers who moderate the activity. An activity can be recorded for post-event access. An event has a start and an end that covers its activities. An attendee can raise his hand to get permission to speak in the activity, send messages, switch his camera and audio on/off and choose his camera/audio input. In addition to the basic features of a simple user, a speaker can mute/unmute attendees, cutoff the attendee’s camera, share its screen, and share files. A Docthus event (and event activities) is always moderated by a Docthus Admin.
